Reconstruction of Arena "Druzhba"
Arena “Druzhba” has become the home arena for the Hockey Club “Donbass” and Basketball Club “Donetsk” teams, as well as one of the few venues in the city for hosting high-level cultural and sporting events. Our specialists transformed the Soviet-era sports palace into a modern, comfortable, and stylish place for all city residents to enjoy.
The reconstruction of Arena “Druzhba” was carried out by our company in 2 stages. In the summer of 2011, the arena was brought into compliance with KHL standards and regulations. The scope of work included expanding the spectator hall from 3,500 to 4,000 seats, as well as installing a complex of networks and systems for broadcasting matches live through widescreen displays.
The finishing of the stands and public areas is done in the colors of the Hockey Club “Donbass”, for which the arena has become the home venue. All systems and networks have been implemented for the comfortable stay of fans during matches and other events held at the arena. All seats in the arena have been replaced with new ones, more comfortable for spectators. Cameras have been added in the foyer and inside the arena itself, and metal detectors have been installed at the entrance. The press conference hall has undergone modernization. A network of fast-food outlets has appeared. New, modern ticket offices and a fan shop have been opened.
In the summer of 2012, once again in record-breaking short time, the next stage of reconstruction was carried out. At this stage, boxes for sponsors and VIP guests of the arena were constructed, a large equipped media zone appeared, as well as facilities for housing the hockey club office and arena administration. The facade of the building was also updated. After the completion of the latest reconstruction, the “Druzhba” arena fully complies with the requirements of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the regulations of the VHL. The successful completion of work in such a short time was largely achieved through the use of Modulo modular partitions (LAS Mobili group of companies).
