Large-scale update of educational infrastructure: Implementation of the EU4UASchools project in partnership with UNDP
Acting as the general contractor for the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine (UNDP), our company implemented a comprehensive project within the EU4UASchools initiative. The task was to carry out current repairs in nine educational institutions in the Zhytomyr region that were affected by military actions. The CC1 class project required impeccable work organization, strict adherence to international environmental standards, and the application of advanced technologies to ensure durability and energy efficiency.
Key areas of work and achieved results:
Comprehensive thermal modernization and safety enhancement:
Complete replacement of 3,900 m² of outdated asbestos-containing roofs with modern, environmentally safe metal tiles.
Insulation and finishing of 3,000 m² of facades, which significantly improved the energy efficiency of buildings.
Installation of 470 m² of energy-efficient 5-chamber Steko windows using “warm installation” technology with full sealing of joints, which prevents drafts and heat loss.
Large-scale renovation of interior spaces:
Complete renewal of floor coverings over an area of 6,000 m², using high-wear commercial linoleum (Tarkett, class 34) and ceramic tiles (ATEM).
Comprehensive finishing of over 11,000 m² of walls and ceilings using quality mixtures and paints (Polimin, Knauf, Ceresit), which guarantees durability and aesthetic appearance.
Responsible environmental management:
Systematic removal and disposal of 1,200 tons of non-hazardous construction waste organized.
Special attention was paid to the handling of hazardous waste: 150 tons of asbestos-containing slate were professionally dismantled, packaged, and transferred for disposal to a licensed organization in compliance with all environmental standards.
Thanks to precise planning and professional execution, nine schools were completely transformed. Safe, warm, and modern educational spaces have been created that meet high international standards and are ready to serve communities for many years to come.
